Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our catalogue and click on any item(s) that you wish to buy. You will be asked to choose the quantity required and then you select either CONFIRM to put the item into the shopping cart and continue shopping or CHECKOUT to show that you have finished your selection. You will then be asked for your name, address and payment details.

If you want to remove items before completing the order, just click VIEW CART and follow the instructions. (Please note that if you have previously selected the CONFIRM button, those items will be in the cart. You can remove them at any time before checking out by following this procedure.)

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Solo and Switch. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped.

IMPORTANT: All weights shown on this website are approximate. The actual cost to your credit card can be determined only when the meat products are prepared for despatch and weighed - this means that the charge to your credit card may vary by +/- 15% from the order details. The price per kilo will not change from this shown on the order. It is a condition of acceptance of your order that this procedure is accepted.

Packaging, courier and insurance costs are charged at cost and will be clearly indicated during the ordering process. We prefer to show you the actual costs for the special chill boxes and courier services, rather than include them in the prices and say they are 'free'. This way means that you can make your own assessment of an economical order value.

The charges are based on the following minimum charges:

Aberdeenshire: £11.50 for up to 30 kgs.

(Applies to Post Code areas AB10-16, AB21-25, AB31-36, AB39, AB41-43, AB51-53)

UK Mainland: £11.50 for up to 10 kgs, then £0.60 per kg.

UK Islands: £18.50 for up to 10 kgs, then £0.60 per kg.

Apart from the Scottish Recipes CDs, we are presently unable to offer delivery outside the UK.

Orders are handed to the couriers each Wednesday and will be delivered within 24 hours. The deadline for receipt of orders is midday on the previous day. We will despatch on other days to respond special requirements, but you will need to contact us in advance to confirm the arrangements.

It is your responsibility to ensure that packages can be received on the day following despatch. The courier service will comply with your instructions to leave packages in nominated locations, but only on the understanding that neither the courier nor Bert Fowlie Butchers nor The Eminent Trading Company will be responsible for the safety of goods left unattended.

If your products are not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

For orders for non-food items 17.5% VAT has been included in the price shown.

Payment processing is provided by Protx, the UK's largest independent internet payment service providors. All transaction information passed between merchant sites and the Protx systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to our servers from Protx are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing you pass to the Protx servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.
